Sacha Loiseau, Ph.D.
Chief Executive Officer
Sacha founded Mauna Kea Technologies in 2000.
Sacha is the co-inventor of the probe-based Confocal Laser Endomicroscopy technology and conducted the development of the Cellvizio product line, raising over € 120m with private and public investors, including €56.5m through an IPO in July 2011 on the NYSE Euronext Paris stock exchange.
In 2013, Sacha was named co-lead of France's Re-industrialization Plan for Medical Devices by the French President and then a member of the Committee for the Future of Medicine. Sacha has served as a mentor of the Polytechnique-Stanford Ignite Program for young MedTech entrepreneurs for several years. Sacha was instrumental in the foundation of the association Medtech in France, of which he is Vice-President.
Sacha started his career at the National Center for Space Studies (CNES) in Toulouse and at the Paris Observatory, then joined NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Pasadena, California, as a research scientist. Sacha is a graduate of Ecole Polytechnique and holds a Ph.D. in Astrophysics and Optical Instrumentation from University Paris-Diderot. He is the author of multiple scientific papers and holds 7 international patents and was the 2018 recipient of the Marius Lavet Prize.
Nathalie Lecoq
Chief Operating Officer
Nathalie brings 30 years of experience in business unit management and transversal leadership roles from leading global MedTech companies.
Nathalie has broad experience with all aspects of MedTech, having spent more than 2 decades at GE HealthCare in various executive roles and 4 years as Director of Operations France at Varian Medical Systems. Throughout her career, she has operated in Sales & Marketing, BU management, Commercial Operations, Logistics/Sourcing and strategic projects leadership. Nathalie built from this rich cross-functional experience a strong capability around transversal execution and change management. Since 2019, she has assisted several healthcare players and startups in operationalizing their strategic roadmaps. She holds a Master’s Engineering Degree from Ecole Centrale of Paris and is a certified Master Black Belt.
Côme de La Tour du Pin
Chief Financial Officer
Côme brings solid experience in listed companies and investor relations.
Prior to joining Mauna Kea Technologies, Côme served as Chief Financial Officer of Lysogene, a development-stage, gene therapy company listed on Euronext where his responsibilities included financial management and budgeting, investor relations and capital raising. Previous experience includes investor communication roles at Ipsen and Groupe Casino, and as an auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). Côme holds a master’s degree from Emlyon Business School.
François Lacombe, Ph.D.
Chief Scientific Officer
François Lacombe is a world-renowned scientist and the author of more than 150 scientific papers and 10 patents.
François spent 14 years working on major international astronomy projects such as ISOCAM, the Infrared Space Observatory (ISO) satellite's on-board camera; ADONIS, the first multi-user adaptive optics system on the Canada-France-Hawaii-Telescope and NAOS, a cutting-edge adaptive optics system for the Very Large Telescope on Cerro Paranal in Chile. François has been collaborating with Mauna Kea Technologies since its inception and has been its Chief Scientific Officer since 2005. François is a graduate of the École Normale Supérieure in Paris and holds a Ph.D. in Astrophysics.
Daryl Donatelli
Vice President, Global Marketing & U.S. Sales
Daryl Donatelli is a marketing and sales executive with over 18 years of experience driving top and bottom-line growth of medical device, OTC/consumer health, and Rx pharmaceutical portfolios.
Daryl brings mastery in cross-functional team leadership, upstream and downstream product management, and new market development to the role of Vice President, Global Marketing & U.S. Sales, supported by his experience in global, Asia-Pacific, and U.S. roles. Prior to joining Mauna Kea Technologies, Daryl has held brand, portfolio, and commercial leadership positions at Bausch + Lomb, Boston Scientific, Alcon, and Convergent Dental. Daryl earned an MBA in Competitive and Organizational Strategy and International Management from the Simon Business School, and a BA in Economics from the University of Rochester.
Bruno Villaret
Vice-President, International Sales
Bruno Villaret has a rich international background garnered from his studies in Lebanon, Italy and France where he became fluent in four languages.
Bruno started his career as an Export Area Manager for Sapag, a division of Saint-Gobain, then worked 15 years for Tyco Fire & Building Products where he was appointed General Manager of Asia-Pacific. In January of 2009, Bruno joined Mauna Kea Technologies with a mission to develop the Asia-Pacific market for Cellvizio. Bruno is responsible for sales of Cellvizio products in all territories outside the United-States: EMEA, APAC and LATAM.
